The Sassy Barn is first and foremost a food blog. It’s where I share hundreds of easy, comforting recipes made for real life and real kitchens. The kind of meals you make on busy nights, bring to family gatherings, and get asked for again and again.
Over time, it’s also become a place where I share the creative side of home life. DIY projects, handmade pieces for the shop, and everyday ideas that make home feel more personal.
This space grew naturally, one recipe at a time, and it’s always been rooted in keeping things simple, approachable, and enjoyable.
Creative at heart, coffee always in hand
Before The Sassy Barn, I worked as a mental health social worker. Creativity slowly became my way to unwind, heal, and reconnect with myself. One DIY led to another, one recipe turned into a collection, and somewhere along the way I realized I’d built something I truly loved.
I’ve renovated old homes, taught myself how to paint, started a handmade shop, and learned most things the hard way. I’m a wife, a mom, and someone who believes that creativity doesn’t have to be complicated to be meaningful.
If I’m not cooking, crafting, or making a mess in the shop, I’m probably chasing around real life and laughing through the chaos.
I’ve never met a DIY that I’d turn down (I’m always up for a good challenge!)
Before becoming an Entrepreneur, I worked in the healthcare field as a Mental Health Social Worker.
Until four years ago, I didn’t even know how to paint. Now I own a shop and paint all of my signs by hand.
I’ve gutted and completely renovated two farmhouses, one from 1979 and one from 1949
I work with food, DIY, and craft brands that naturally fit into life at The Sassy Barn. Food is always the focus here, but I also collaborate on creative projects, hands-on tutorials, and home content when it aligns with what I already share.
All partnerships are approached with honesty and intention. I only feature products I genuinely use and would recommend, and everything is shared in a way that feels natural and real.
If you value authentic content and real connection, I’d love to hear from you.
